Aedes Alumni & Friends (AA&F) is a non-profit association, founded in 2025, that supports Aedes – Architecture and Space in its mission as a cultural institution for global knowledge exchange on architecture, the city and society – open to everyone. Become a member of the AA&F and join a world-wide network of leading thinkers and innovators from architecture, design, culture, engineering, and all those who take responsibility for our built environment. AA&F members guarantee the productive continuity of the Aedes programme consisting of exhibitions, talks, publications and workshops, and the maintenance of a strong international community of various academic disciplines.

 

Since 1980 Aedes has become a world-renowned institution, having received numerous international honours and distinctions. Today, driven by a highly motivated and transdisciplinary team, Aedes' sense for societal transformation has exceptional influence in the international discourse on architecture and space. Always guided by a clear sense of purpose, welcoming, connecting and inspiring, Aedes remains a trusted partner of civil society organisations, businesses, public authorities and diplomatic institutions. All Aedes programs are consistently accessible, inclusive and free of charge. At a time of profound economic and social transformation, coupled with an overwhelming flow of information, it is more important than ever to strengthen Aedes as an independent institution and a place for encounter.
